Annual Giving Societies

The annual giving societies were established to recognize donors for gifts to the annual fund. Membership is determined by the total annual gift, including matching gifts, received between January 1 and December 31 each year.

Becoming a Member

Individuals can become members based on their annual contributions received between January 1 and December 31, and includes employer matching gifts. Qualifying gifts include:

  • cash, securities, real estate, commodities, or gifts-in-kind
  • irrevocable deferred gifts (trust, gift annuity, life-insurance policy, or retained life estate)

Levels of Membership

Friends of Dakota State:
Copper - $1 - $249
Bronze - $250 - $499
Silver - $500 - $999
Gold - $1,000 - $2,499
Platinum - $2,500 - $4,999

Alumni Circle - $5,000 - $9,999

Dean’s Circle - $10,000 - $24,999

  • President’s Circle:
    Charles Richardson Society - $25,000 - $49,999
    V.A. Lowry Society - $50,000 - $99,999
    Jerald A. Tunheim Society - $100,000 and above
